If this is you

You’ve done the classes.
You’ve bought the treats.
You still walk in the dark.

At home he’s a good dog. Outside he’s a different animal, and without noticing, you’ve built your whole life around it.

  • You plan walks around avoiding other dogs, or go out before anyone else is up.
  • You drive somewhere quiet rather than walk from your own front door.
  • Visitors mean the dog goes in another room, and you apologise before they’ve sat down.
  • You’ve stopped taking him to the pub, the café, your parents’.
  • You’ve had a trainer, maybe two, and it held for about a fortnight.
  • You’ve started to wonder whether you’re the problem.
  • Your partner has stopped believing the next thing will work.
  • You love him, and you’re exhausted.

If three or more of those are you, the 30-Day Reset was built for you.

Why it hasn’t held

You haven’t tried the wrong things.
Nobody finished the job.

Home. Where your dog lives, trains and is handed back.
Home. Where your dog lives, trains and is handed back.

A class teaches a dog to sit in a hall. Two weeks of board and train teaches him to behave for the trainer. A treats-only plan teaches him that ignoring you pays perfectly well. Every one of them stops before the hard part: making it hold at your front door, on your street, with your hands on the lead.

That takes weeks, not sessions. It takes a real home with real distractions, and one person who lives with the dog and does nothing else. Then that same person has to teach you to run it, with your dog beside you, until it’s yours and not mine.

That’s the 30-Day Reset. Your dog lives with me for 30 days and learns the system. On Day 30 I hand it over to you in person. Nothing is left for you to work out on your own.

The dog isn’t the problem. The half‑finished job is.

The proof

Real dogs. Real problems.
Watch what changed.

Three owners who were exactly where you are now, on what happened next.

“I thought I’d have to rehome her.”

“I was walking her at six in the morning so we wouldn’t meet anyone. A month later I walked her past the school gates at half three and she didn’t look up. I have my dog back.”

“Four trainers. Nothing stuck.”

“Every class went fine and every visitor was chaos. Scott trained him in a home, where the problem actually lived. My mum came round on Sunday and he stayed on his bed.”

“He’d never once come back.”

“Two years of standing in a field shouting his name. The day he came home I let him off, because Scott told me to, and he came back. First time. I cried in a car park.”

Who’s training your dog

I train with the best in Europe.

I’m Scott McKay. I’ve trained dogs for over 25 years, from family pets to elite working German Shepherds, and I compete in IGP, one of the most demanding dog sports there is.

I’m a NePoPo® Gold School graduate, and I travel across Europe to train alongside some of the best dog trainers in the world. I’ve never stopped learning, and every dog I take on gets all of it.

“Every dog I take on gets everything I’ve learnt. That’s why I only take one at a time.”

Scott McKay

I take one dog at a time. For 30 days, yours is the only dog in residence, and every session is planned around him.

While I train your dog, Kate looks after you: your updates, your questions and your follow-ups. She’s a NePoPo® Gold School graduate too, so she knows exactly what she’s looking at.

Thirty days.

How it works

Three steps.
Most of the work is mine.

  1. The call

“Is this right for my dog?”

You tell me what’s going on at home and what you’ve tried. I’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic in 30 days, and if I can’t help, I’ll say so.

Your part45 minutes on a free video call

  2. The stay

    “What actually happens?”

Day 1: we agree realistic goals together and film the before video. Then 28 days of training in my home, where it has to hold: the door, the street, the car.

Your partDay 1 with me, then just watch

  3. The handover

“Will he do it for me?”

Day 30 is handover day: the after video beside the before, signed off together, and we work with your dog until it’s yours. Then the follow-ups keep it on track.

Getting here

Based in Norfolk.
Door to door.

Your dog lives with me in Norfolk for the whole stay, wherever you live in mainland Britain. How he gets here is up to you.

  • Bring him yourself

    No charge

Drop him off on day one and see exactly where he’ll live before you leave him. The handover happens here, when you collect him.

  • I collect and bring him home

    Quoted on your call

The fee depends on how far you are. And the handover happens at your front door, where the old problems lived.

The guarantee

If I can’t show you the improvement we agreed within 30 days, you get every penny back.

At the intake assessment on Day 1, we agree realistic goals together and write them down. Within 30 days of arrival, or by the end of a longer stay, I show you the improvement against those goals. At handover we go through them side by side and sign them off together. If I can’t show it, the fee comes back in full.

Questions

Straight answers.

The questions every owner asks before they book. If yours isn’t here, ask me on the call.

No. Thirty days feels long to you, not to him. Dogs go straight back to the people they live with, and most owners notice a calmer, more attentive dog, not a distant one. What changes is his behaviour, not who he loves.

In my home, indoors, as part of the household. Not a kennel block. I take one dog at a time, and he trains where real life happens: the front door, the street, the car and the park.

Whatever is right for your dog: food, play, markers, structure and the lead. Where it’s right for him and lawful, that can include an e-collar. If it does, he’s properly conditioned to it, you’re taught to use it at the handover, and it goes home with him. Equipment is part of the training. It’s never the product.

Often, yes. Reactivity is one of the most common reasons dogs come to me. But I don’t take every dog: a serious bite history, a medical problem or a welfare concern can mean another route is right. If I can’t help, I’ll tell you on the call, before you’ve paid a penny.

You’ll see the work as it happens: film, photos and progress notes in your private Backstage area, kept up to date by Kate. Visits during the stay are rare, because his learning carries on through everyday life and a visit interrupts it. Handover day is where you come in.

Then you get your money back. On Day 1 we agree realistic goals together and film the before video. If I can’t show you that improvement within 30 days, every penny comes back, as long as he stayed for the whole programme and you told me everything about him.

Then I’ll tell you why, and it’s your call. Extra weeks are £1,000 each, and only ever if I recommend them and you agree.

£4,000 for the 30 days. £500 reserves your dates and is part of the fee, not extra, and the balance is due 14 days before he arrives. Collection and delivery, if you want it, is quoted on your call.

If you cancel more than 28 days before arrival, the most I keep is the £500, and less if I can fill the place. The full terms are here.

His usual food, any medication with clear instructions, and his vaccination, flea and worming records. If he needs a vet while he’s with me, I take him and keep you informed. The vet’s bill is yours, unless something was my fault.

Yes. It’s the most important day of the 30. It happens here in Norfolk when you collect him, or at your front door if I bring him home. You watch, you learn the system, then you take the lead with me beside you. Allow half a day.

You pick a time for a free 45-minute video call about your dog, with no obligation. If the 30-Day Reset is right for him, you choose your dates and reserve them with £500. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you, and point you to what is.

The next step

Every day you wait,
he practises the problem.

I take one dog at a time and only book four months ahead. When those four places are gone, you wait for the next one to open.

The call is free, and if I can’t show you the improvement we agreed,
every penny comes back.
